Our team’s annual pilgrimage to Market in High Point, NC was as successful, fulfilling, and inspiring as ever.  While the squeal-worthy introductions and moments are too numerous to mention we did want to share some upcoming trends we noticed.

Sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the journey with us as we review Market 2022.

Twice the Tones:

If one wood tone is good, then two tones are better!  While we have been loving and using mixed materials and metals for years, we have started to notice wood finishes following the lead.  This combination of light and dark not only provides instant contrast but also opens a world of possibilities when it comes to collaboration with other pieces.

Coffee Clusters:

Someone PLEASE bare witness that we have been doing the following for years!  All over Market we saw coffee tables created from clusters of smaller tables. This makes so much sense for modern multi functional lifestyles.   Imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery…

2018 -2021

Organic Geometry:

One could think the term organic geometry an oxymoron but stay with me.  Nature has a unique put precise order.  (For a fun but very educational reminder, watch the Golden Mean segment from Donald in Mathmagic Land)  We noticed again and again this naturally pleasing notion repeated in a myriad of ways.

Highpoint Market 2022 was also filled with a very successful series of book signings and speaking engagements.  It was so satisfying to share my effort, energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge with my fellow designers.  Check out the images below from Abbyson, Sherwin Williams, and Universal Furniture.
