Ancient Pompeiian bathhouses have nothing on my jaw dropping main bath! I wanted pure luxury, killer design, and every pampering bell and whistle available. This spa-like oasis delivers deep relaxation and bathroom envy from everyone I know.  

 

Can we talk tile for a second? The intricately patterned and super sexy saturated hues of this Walker Zanger Heraclee marble tile are impressive from every angle.  We used the coordinating Borolo and Violetta stones for the wainscoting and flooring details.  Every single available surface sings a siren song in this superlative finish.  The porcelain countertops from Stoneville USA and custom cabinetry painted in Sherwin Williams Caviar provide the perfect modern pallet cleanser to the tile’s classicism.

Sparkle, via brass, is represented and repeated throughout the design. Custom turned legs covered in brushed brass support the vanity that shines with the Metropole plumbing fixtures and bath hardware from Newport Brass via Snyder Diamond.  Dramatically oversized Vogue sconces from Modern Forms/Houzz flank the gold framed mirrors providing a flattering light and moody mystique.

Living it up in luxury is easy with my next two design elements. A bathroom isn’t a bathroom without a toilet.  Rarely do we discuss the most mandatory fixture in the house but you must, must, must believe me when I say this AT 200 LS Spalet toilet from DVX will change your life. No longer will I live in fear of another toilet paper shortage while I have access to this little marvel.  Every nuance of your necessary function is addressed in the utmost fashion.

My final recommendation if you want to really die and go to heaven is the Thermasol Hydrovive steam shower.  This “why go-to-the-spa?” system offers aromatherapy, chromatherapy and dare I say don’t want to leave home-a-therapy.  (wink wink)  With a touch I can choose to listen to nature sounds, soothing music, or even my favorite streaming show.  It is the ultimate relaxation retreat and a resource I run to again and again.  I literally use it every day and feel like a king.
